Marketing & communications strategy built for you
Lots of business owners avoid “marketing.” It’s understandable. Marketing has a bad reputation, often for good reason.
But if you’re running a business you have to let people know what you’re up to.
So that’s why we’re talking about marketing and communications. No yuck. You’re just going to tell people what you do, who you do it for, and how they can hire you or buy from you – simply and sincerely.
A smart, well-planned marketing strategy gives you both guideposts and flexibility. Guideposts to keep you on track, and flexibility because your’re human.
Get a plan for your messaging that aligns with your voice, your core values, and your best customers.
The 60-minute marketing strategy session
Running a business can be a challenge when you’re doing it on your own or have a very small team. Perspective from an experienced pro can make a world of difference.
We’ll put together a plan that respects your capacity so you can focus on working on your business instead of burning out working in your business.
If you have stuck points, we can look at fixing those. Friction with tech tools, scheduling, systems, confidence — the gremlins that impact your marketing and business as a whole.

How it works
- Tell me about your business and what you’re looking for through the form on my Contact page. I might have a few more questions, then once we’re ready we can move forward (and if we’re not the right fit I’ll do my best to point you to the right resources).
- When we’re ready to proceed you get a link for your payment to secure your spot in my calendar.
- We sit down together (virtually) for a 60-minute session to put your plan together – your messaging and schedule, and if you like we can talk tools, too.
- Your plan can include branding advice, social media, email, your newsletter/blog, all tailored to the ways and places you communicate best.
- After the session I send over my notes so you can incorporate what works best for you into your plan. Everything we do is for you and the way you work.
What does a communications plan look like?
It depends on you and your business. Here are a couple of examples:
When you sell things
Dana’s plan includes a regular social media posting schedule, automated email welcome sequence for newsletter subscribers, plus a short weekly email newsletter that sends interested people to their online shop.
When you have an online service business
Ronnie’s plan starts with a personal outreach process via LinkedIn, supported by a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database. From there, email automation keeps their name top of mind when their prospective clients need Ronnie’s services.
